The Party: 2024 Season

In 2018, director and actor Kristin McCalley started a small theater company called The Party. In its first year, The Party produced and devised their very first show, "Big Love" by Charles Mee, in an abandoned church in Nashville with an ensemble of artists.

Since that first production, The Party relocated to New York City, produced several other plays, devised a NEW play ("The Sleepover") with an amazing ensemble, produced a workshop production at Kindling Arts Festival, and created two immersive theater walks (Microcosm) in the Catskills.

The Party has taken a big step: We are now officially incorporated as a tax-exempt 501c3 non-profit theater company based in Stamford, NY, where we will continue to develop new work as well as produce theater that serves this wonderful community in the beautiful, rural Catskill mountains.

Will you be an early supporter of our 2024 season? Here's what we have in store:

- March 21 - 23, The Party is producing a community production of Proof by David Auburn in Stamford

- From June - September, The Party will co-produce Marisa Caruso's Stamford-based residency & performance series Kaats Cradle

- A 2024 NYSCA Artist Grant will support the continued development of our new work, "The Sleepover," inspired by the book And Your Daughters Shall Prophesy by Adrian Shirk, including a devising workshop and the development of another workshop production.

- In late-September, we'll produce our third annual Microcosm immersive theater walk at the Mutual Aid Society.
