The Pen & Pencil Club needs your help! Please donate

Dear members of the Pen & Pencil Club community,
We are dismayed to report that the P&P is not making ends meet at this time, and the club is in serious financial trouble.
Sales were down 16.3% in 2024, and many of our costs have skyrocketed. The club's newly elected board is hard at work planning new events and other initiatives aimed at bringing in new people. We are surveying members and potential members about their experiences at the club, and we are determined to right the ship. Lots of exciting news is just around the corner!
But in the meantime, we have significant bills coming up this spring that we currently cannot afford to pay, particularly the real estate tax and our property and liability insurance. We need the P&P community to help us get through this difficult time.
The club has been on the verge of closing many times in its 130-year history, and we're confident we'll make it through this difficult chapter as well. But to make that happen, we all need to come together. Please consider giving what you can.
As always, if you're not a member of the nation's oldest continuously operating press club, please join us at PenAndPencil.org. If you are a member, please make sure you're up to date on your dues and consider encouraging others to join. And of course, come around for a drink at the bar!
Please note that donations to this GoFundMe drive will go directly to the club and are not associated with the newly created P&P Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization that works closely with the club but is a separate organization. If you'd prefer to give to the Foundation, which can accept tax-deductible donations (unlike the club), feel free to do so by using this link.
Sincerely,
The Pen & Pencil Club Board of Governors
