Dearest Supporters, Thank you so much for your kind donations. We would not be able to continue this work without you. Your donations have helped keep People’s Space functioning, particularly supporting the AIRS. After much negotiation and evolution of our work Performance Space New York has agreed to launch a fundraiser for the AIRs specifically that will likely has a wider reach than this one does so we are shifting our efforts there and closing this campaign. You can find the new fundraiser at GoFundMe for AIRS if you are able please donate and/or spread the word. Thank you again for your generosity we could not have done this work without you.

The People’s Space is a growing anti-police zone where all black lives matter, located on the Lower East Side. Our vision is that of a future filled with gender self-determination and without prisons for a BIPOC-led, multiracial revolution.

At present, we offer sanctuary to a group of residents, and FREE CRIB 4 Black Lives, our mutual aid distribution. We offer our community and members of the LES free food, radical community education, an abolitionist library and PPE, medic supplies, harm reduction supplies, and places to rest and take a load off. At the moment we are focusing our energies on the support of the lives of our BIPOC residents. Alongside FREE CRIB 4 Black Lives our residents are a pillar to our principled struggle and daily operations.

If you donate your funds will be put to use right away and will go towards the operations of this liberated zone.  At the moment we need to raise funds to help pay for:

- Pay BIPOC organizers
- Cleaning supplies
- Supplies for PPE (masks, gloves, sanitizer)
- Harm reduction supplies
- Food for community
- Laundry for the community
- Costs associated with housing, job placement, and other forms of aid.

The Leadership at People's Space...amongst others:

- Jonathan González
is an artist, organizer, and farmer-in-training from Queens, NY.
- Dada Coz is a performing artist from the Bronx, New York whose work narrates her lived experience in the pursuit of autonomy of the Black body through erotic expression and Afro futuristic rhythm and dance.
- Sarah Snider is a jack of all trades, master of some from the DC metro area.
- Monica Mirabile
is an artist, organizer and caretaker from the west coast of Florida.

We are so grateful for your help! It takes community to lift the people up. All power to the people.
