The Pepper Project: Support for the Weaver-Lopez family
Donation protected
November is a month we usually set aside to remember what we are thankful for. We gather to celebrate our family, friends, and the people who are special to us. And, this month, someone who is special to many of us needs your help.
On October 27, 2024, Jeannie Weaver-Lopez was placed into critical care at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Since then, Jeannie's support system—especially her loving husband, Ryan, and the couple's family members and close friends—have been by her side each step of the way. The team at LRMC has been working tirelessly and patiently to help Jeannie heal.
This has been a shock to everyone who loves Jeannie, but it's been especially hard on Jeannie's daughter, Pepper. Pepper is the joy of Jeannie's life—she's a spunky and spicy 2.5 year old who loves music, books, playing outside and visiting the ducks. As Jeannie's friends and family rally to support her and her family, caring for Pepper and keeping her day-to-day life as stable as possible has been an important priority.
My name is Katie, and I’m a close family friend of the Lopez family, offering family support during this challenging time. I’m raising funds to support their sweet 2-year-old daughter, Pepper, following the heartbreaking loss of her mother, Jeannie Lopez.
Jeannie was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished community member. Her passing has left a profound void, but through The Pepper Project, we can honor her legacy by ensuring Pepper has every opportunity to thrive.
The funds raised will provide:
* Preschool Tuition: Giving Pepper access to quality early education to build a strong foundation for her future.
* Extracurricular Programs: Covering expenses for sports, dance, art, and other activities to help Pepper explore her passions and talents.
* After-School Care and Caregivers: Providing a safe and nurturing environment as Ryan navigates work and parenthood.
* Future Education: Supporting tuition, school supplies, and other related costs as Pepper grows.
As Ryan adjusts to this new reality, these funds will give him the resources to provide Pepper with stability, love, and the opportunities Jeannie would have wanted for her.
If you know Jeannie, you know how much she poured herself into building her community and supporting the people she loves. We hope that, during this month of thanksgiving, we all honor her dedication with our prayers, support, and love.
