The Peter Mainini Memorial Fund
Dear family and friends,
On May 11, 2020, we were devastated to learn that our beloved nephew and godson, Peter Mainini, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Bellingham at the young age of 33.
Everyone who knew Peter was touched by his gentle spirit, sense of humor and his unending dedication to those he loved.
Peter leaves behind his loving wife of 7 years, Katie (Gurley), and his two beautiful children, Makenzi (5) and Mason (3).
Our names are Debbie Volpe Hogan and Donna Volpe Strouse. We have had the honor and privilege of knowing our sweet nephew since the day he came into our lives on February 6, 1987. We wanted to set up this Go Fund Me to support Peter’s family during this tragic time and to help Katie as she moves forward with life as a single mom without her best friend by her side. Katie and her kids will be the sole recipients of the funds that are raised which are intended to help Katie pay for immediate and future expenses for her family.
A tragic loss of a loved one is always difficult, but it is particularly challenging now as we struggle to share our grief amidst social distancing rules. Katie and the kids will need our help now more than ever. We have set the fundraising goal at $33K to honor the last birthday that Peter was able to celebrate with his family.
