The Pettus family gave birth to baby Memphis very early on February 26th weighing at 1 lb 13 oz. (His due date was supposed to be June 10th). Baby Memphis was flown to UMPC Harrisburg NICU and is currently undergoing a 6-week antibiotic treatment for a yeast infection and is doing great!
Lindsey has been in and out of the hospital with some complications.
3-7-23 Jim rushed Lindsey to the ER for infection seeping from the C section incision site. Lindsey was admitted into hospital for treatment and observation and was finally discharged 3-12-23 but was on home health and they packed her wound twice a day until healed.
She was taken into the ER 3 more times for severe abdominal pain and 3-28-23 they admitted her and found her fibroid was causing all her severe abdominal pain. She was then scheduled for a hysterectomy.
4-16-23 Memphis was extubated and that was the last time Jim and Lindsey has gotten to see Memphis due to her upcoming surgery
4-21-23 Lindsey got a full hysterectomy, leaving in her ovaries so she wouldn’t go through menopause. They also repaired where her open wound was
4-23-23 Memphis weighed in at 3lbs 7oz and Lindsey was released from the hospital
4-30-23 Lindsey was admitted back into the hospital due to severe abdominal pain. They ran a test and found there was another infection so they put in a picc line to continuously run IV antibiotics and a wound vac where her hysterectomy incision is at.
She is currently still in the hospital recovering from this 3rd surgery.
5-7-23 Memphis is currently weighing in at 4lbs 1oz.
Jim, Lindsey, Keith and Memphis would appreciate the help and support in this time of need.
