The Pickled Pig Destroyed After Early Morning Fire

Donation protected
Dekalb, MS – The Perkins/West family, owners of The Pickled Pig Country Market, suffered a devastating fire during the early morning hours of Wednesday, August 14, 2024. Known for its warm hospitality, comfy atmosphere, and great food, The Pickled Pig has been a cherished gathering spot for the Kemper County community and those nearby, providing not only delicious food but also a welcoming environment for friends and families.

Early reports indicate that the fire caused extensive damage to the building and its contents, leaving the Family facing a significant loss. The Pickled Pig has long been known for its commitment to exceptional service and a friendly atmosphere, and the family is devastated by the impact this event has had on their livelihood and the local community. The Pickled Pig has always been more than just a place to eat lunch; it's a place where memories are made, friendships are fostered, and the community comes together.

To assist the Perkins/West family during this challenging time, we have established a fundraising campaign. We believe in the spirit of Dekalb and the power of community. Together, we can bring back The Pickled Pig and restore the cozy atmosphere that everyone loves.
