The Pikey Employee Relief Fund

On March 16th, 2020 LA County announced the mandatory closure of all bars and restaurants due to the COVID-19 virus for an undisclosed amount of time.  While we hope this ends soon, there's a very real chance that we will be spending our 8th anniversary closed to help fight a global pandemic.  As a community, we know that Hollywood as a whole will be affected, and as for us we know the people most affected will be our wonderful employees, many of whom have been here since the very beginning.  All of them have been laid off, and while the hope is that Unemployment will help, surely for most of us it will not be enough to reliably sustain the loss of tipped work.

For this reason, we are seeking the assistance of our community in the creation and building of an emergency fund.

Our goal is to raise $1000 for every employee of The Pikey.  It's no secret that this won't cover everything for everyone, but in these uncertain times it could help sustain the team so that once the restrictions are lifted, we can get back to being the place we all love.

We will continue this fund until the crisis is over.
