The Pinwheel Project Scholarship
This scholarship was created in memory of Pierre Renaud & Ryen Pouget.
The Pinwheel Project Scholarship was created to enhance the quality of education for those who have experiences with mental illness & addiction, whether it be personal or through someone close to them. As a social work student and someone who is passionate about mental health advocacy, the founder of this scholarship has seen the absence of scholarships for those with personal mental health experiences and is advocating for a change. Mental health is something that everyone has, and it is important to recognize the importance of each individual's mental health. This scholarship will benefit those experiencing mental illness and/or addictions to avoid some of the stress of tuition costs.
The pinwheel, not only holds a significant meaning for the founder of this scholarship, but also represents the motivation to keep moving even when times get tough. Pinwheels are symbol of hope and happiness, so for each $5.00 raised for the Pinwheel Project Scholarship, a pinwheel will be donated to the children in care at the Windsor Regional Hospital.
