Hi there, I'm Meg Steiner, and I urgently need your support for my dear friend Heidi Pousson and her incredible daughter, Gracie, who is facing the relentless challenges of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), also known as RSD or "The Suicide Disease."

Gracie, a bright and talented soul, has been battling this debilitating condition for six years, forcing her to leave school for full-time care and pain management. Heidi, a devoted wife, mother, and English teacher, recently had to make the heart-wrenching decision to leave her teaching career to support Gracie through this difficult journey.

Imagine the emotional and financial toll this has taken on their family. Gracie is wheelchair-bound, grappling with chronic debilitating inflammation affecting her nervous system, and the medical bills are piling up. The treatment options that could make a significant difference are not covered by insurance, and the road to remission involves addressing specific needs based on DNA testing.

Our goal is to raise $35,000 to help the Poussons pay off medical debt accrued during numerous hospitalizations and interventions. Additionally, we aim to offset the costs of a promising new therapy that could put Gracie back on her feet and ahead of the effects of RSD.

Gracie's spirit has touched many lives. In 2021, when I faced displacement due to a house fire, she gifted me a beautiful canvas painting with a powerful quote: "Even the darkest night will end, and the sun will rise again." This painting brought me immense comfort during a challenging time, and now, I want to return the favor and help bring comfort to Gracie.
