The Power of 1000

Salam Idris Mosque Community –

It was only a couple of years ago that our Masjid was forced to close due to the pandemic and challenged us to continue our connection as a community during a time where restrictions limited our activities and gatherings. These restrictions took a toll on Masjid’s financial and operational level during the early stages of the pandemic. However, as a house of Allah, the Idris Mosque stood the test of time because of your continued support. As the blessed month of Ramadan is about to begin, we are still in need of your generous support.

Because of this, we are pleased to announce that the Idris Mosque will be planning a fundraiser titled “The Power of 1000” for this upcoming month of Ramadan. We are looking for 1000 individuals who can commit to donating $100 each, and doing so will help us reach our targeted goal of $100,000 by the end of the blessed month. Please refer to the attached link, which will allow you to participate online through Masjid's gofundme account. Your generous donations will help support Masjid’s ongoing programs & activities, operational costs, and current projects and future improvements for the Masjid. Just like the rest of the world, the Idris Mosque continues to adapt to these times and devotes its commitment to be a source of support and community for all members on a personal, spiritual, and educational level.

Let us make this an opportunity to strengthen our relationships and build an even stronger Idris Mosque community. Please give generously as every ounce of a good deed is rewarded exponentially during this month. We are asking for your continued support by generously donating during this time, for we are reminded of the words of the Almighty Allah when He said “Charitable men and women who make a good loan to Allah will have it doubled and have a generous reward. (57:18)” Last but not least, our beloved Prophet and Messenger (peace be upon him) teach us in the following hadith “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: a continuous charity, a knowledge which is beneficial, and a virtuous son.”
