The Primrose Trail
The Primrose Trail will be a 20 kilometre (12 mile) multi-use trail, created along the route of the disused Primrose Line railway, between Kingsbridge and South Brent, a trail that will run from the sea to the moor. It will provide a non-motorised transport route through the beautiful Avon Valley with easy access for everyone. As well as providing leisure facilities, it will be a relatively safe travel route between communities for commuters, schoolchildren, and outdoor enthusiasts.
We need funds now to get the project off the ground. We will employ a project manager to provide expertise and focus to get things moving. Our draft feasibility plan already gives an outline of the five-year project. We are ready to go!
In time we will involve the local communities not only in fundraising but also in construction by scheduling volunteer workcamps and working parties.
This is a community project, for the benefit of everyone, that will enhance active travel in the area and be a lasting legacy for those that contribute. Please donate whatever you can and be part of the start of the Primrose Trail.
