The Production of Shadow by Donyae Asante

By choosing to support this production you will be elevating the voices that are continuously silenced in the South. With bills such as Don’t Say Gay and legislation banning drag performers and critical race in schools, we are seeing the intersection of Black and queer lives being told they don’t matter. Theater serves as an opportunity to flip this narrative. This cast and production team are predominantly Black and LGBTQIA+. Funding will go to providing these folks with a sufficient stipend to support both them and their families and get their work seen by a wider audience. Funding will also go to our performance needs; this includes set design, costuming, marketing materials, and transportation needs for our cast and crew.
