The Puerto Rico Project
As many of you know, Puerto Rico was hit by a cat5 hurricane named Maria on September 20 2017.
That was 7 months ago and still today there's still around 9% of families without grid energy. That's way over 100,000+ houses that we know off without lights. But we are sure that there will be some remote areas that it will take forever for them to get their lights turn on by the grid company and that's where I come in.
Up until today I've been helping families with solar generators that either where send to me from others or that I've put them together by myself using recycled materials like laptop batteries and used UPS. Thank's to God we manage to help over 35 families but we are still searching and finding more families in desperate need.
Most of my funds comes from the kindness of strangers that sends materials that I need or they use PayPal to send some funds to help me buy the materials.
Now has come the time to take this project into the next few miles. We've found some communities in Comerio and Yabucoa that are in remotes areas and they will likely be left for last. We are also searching for more cases all around the island where they might need energy for medical devices or other electrical equipments like fans, fridge or simple lights for the night.
I'm running low on materials and funds for paying gas and miscellaneous and that's why I need your help. To be able to help the families that are still without lights I need to be able to get more solar panels, batteries, inverters/ups, cables, charge controllers, etc etc.
I wish I could pay for everything myself but on May 2018 I'll celebrate one full year without a job. I don't have any income and the only way I can pay my bills is through the kindness of God. He has supply all my needs up until today.
Please help me help the families of Puerto Rico that are still without grid energy.
May God Bless you all.
