The Queer Doula's Community Support Fund

Hey, Tasara- The Queer Doula here,
thanks so much for clicking on this fundraising endeavour!
I have a STRONG passion for providing people with professional support in vulnerable times. Unfortunately, pregnancy, birth and postpartum support is designed to service and affirm the experiences of cis-gendered, heterosexual couples and this leaves our queer community vulnerable to invalidation, discrimination and neglect, I am on a mission to change this.
My Community Support Fund is for queer and marginalised people who need and desire but can't afford my services as a full-spectrum doula. A trusted, known support person to advocate, and care for them holistically to ensure their wellbeing.
Help me raise the funds to support the beginnings of a beautiful queer family. I met the trans-masculine birthing parent and his loving Husband, a little over a month ago, they contacted me because they were looking for care and support through their pregnancy, birth, and in their postpartum, from someone they would develop a relationship, feel safe and affirmed within their queer identities.
Their journey to parenthood may seem unconventional to some, but to them, it’s been a deeply heartfelt dream. Always longing to become parents, they are thrilled to embark on this journey, navigating the complex world of pregnancy as a queer couple.
Challenges abound, but they’ve bravely embraced every one of them. With the birthing parent being unable to work, the struggles are not limited to societal understanding but extend to financial hardships as well. They believe in the invaluable support of a doula, particularly for their first pregnancy, and with their families living far away, this professional support becomes all the more important.
Please help us reach our target to ensure this queer family is LOVED and SUPPORTED by me and their COMMUNITY
