The "R" Family Adopt
Hi, we are Cliff & Kim "R," and this is the story of our "Adoption Journey." We met at work when we were just 20 years old at our local fitness center. Our relationship started as friends for the first two years. When we finally started dating, it took less than a month for both of us to know that we "were meant to be together." A year later, we were engaged to be married, and then we got married another year later. Now 12 years have passed, and we are still happily married and very much in love. God chose us to be husband and wife, and we praise God that he brought us together every day.
We believe that we have been called to adopt because our hearts have a desire to love any child unconditionally. Like many couples who chose adoption, we struggled with infertility, 12 years of heartache and suffering multiple miscarriages could have destroyed our marriage. However, through God, and from our heartache, we have grown stronger as a couple and are confident that we will soon be holding our baby in our arms.
Although we've been in prayer and working towards adoption for the last five years, the biggest challenge a couple faces is the finances.
Adoption blesses us as we become parents, our baby who won't be an orphan, as well as the expectant mother who will have peace of mind knowing her child is unconditionally loved and chosen.
We're inviting you to be a part of our "Adoption Journey" by donating to help cover the many costs associated with adopting.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED:
In addition to our GoFundMe Cliff and I have set up a PayPal, if you prefer to send money that way be sure to use the
Family/Friends option.
THE COSTS:
The following are some of the costs associated with adoption, Agency adoption fee's typically range between $38,000-$60,000. That fee covers costs such as administrative and professional services, like background checks, screenings, trainings, advertisement/recruitment, general legal services for the agency, birth parent counseling, relinquishment or consent of brith parents, the pregnancy, and maternity expenses. Maternity expenses include, clothing, prenatal vitamins, over the counter medications, heating pads, belly bands, or other pregnancy related needs. Temporary living expenses
during the pregnancy are included as well, so food, transportation, utilities, telephone, housing, daily living household supplies.
Add in application fees, home study, profile books, travel etc. and you can see why a budget of $58-60,000 is necessary. Some agencies even disclose a maximum "total adoption fee' of $73,500.
Help us bring home baby "R" without you we could not make this dream a reality. #AdoptionJourney #LoveMakesAFamily
