The Racine/Shosie Family Fund

My family had some horrible news the morning of Monday January 7th. My Uncle, Mike Racine, had typical cold symptoms, but as soon as morning came his symptoms progressed terribly. He was rushed to St. Luke's medical hospital in Milwaukee for pneumonia and that's when we learned his body went into sepsis shock. For those of you who dont know, sepsis shock is a widespread infection causing organ failure and dangerously low blood pressure. 
Sepsis is a potentially life-threatening condition caused by the body's response to an infection. The body normally releases chemicals into the bloodstream to fight an infection. Sepsis occurs when the body's response to these chemicals is out of balance, triggering changes that can damage multiple organ systems.
Due to him being in sepsis shock they had to medically sedate him and intubate him and hes in very critical condition. The doctors are not sure how much longer he will survive.  Mike has been very happily married to my Aunt Davina for 14 years. They have two amazing sons, Ethan 13yrs old and Alex 10 yrs old. My Aunt and both boys are completely devastated along with myself, and the rest of the family. Our family is not big at all so we are going to be struggling with babysitters for the boys and their dogs along with medical bills, travel, and meal expenses. And I hate to have to say it but we might also have  funeral and burial expenses as well. Both my Aunt Davina and Uncle Mike are both Registered Nurses and they have the biggest and kindest hearts I've ever encountered along with their sons. They did an amazing job raising those boys and I cant even fathom what they're going through. So any sort of donation will help tremendously! Thank you. 
Mike is also the soul provider of income for the family while my Aunt Davina is going to school for her Masters in Nursing. Unfortunately she had to ask for an extension on her degree and also take off of work  to be able to take care of their children and be able to see Mike as much as possible. However they will only let us see Mike for a nearly ten minutes each day and it's so hard for all of us to have to leave him all alone there. We all hope, pray, and before him to pull through this and that Davina is allowed an extension for her degree. She has worked so hard to get this far and for something like this to ruin not only her Hope's and dreams but also possibly take her husband and her children's father is just devastating just thinking about it.
