The Rafael Memorial Scholarship Fund

Rafael Muriel, a huge part of the Seward community, passed away on March 4, 2021. We have established the Rafael "Ralphie" Muriel Kindness Memorial Scholarship Fund to honor his memory. Our goal is to raise $2,021 each year for the next five years, for an ultimate goal of $10,105.00.

The scholarship will be awarded to a graduating, college bound or trade school  S.S. Seward senior who has personified the spirit of Ralph through acts of kindness, caring and unselfish giving.  Ralph treated everyone - students and staff - with true warmth and kindness. He was accepting of everyone and was known for his tough love and no-nonsense attitude.
