New Special Announcement: An anonymous donor has announced that they will be matching the next $5,000 in gifts, of any size, to Randy's scholarship. This generous and thoughtful gift will DOUBLE the impact of EVERY contribution included in the next $5,000 committed ( $3,700 to $8,700 will be matched).
Help support the legacy of Randy Neff, beloved math teacher, husband, father, coach and friend by donating to support his memorial scholarship for students at Oakwood High School.
Friends and family are seeking to endow Randy's memorial scholarship so his scholarship can live on and leave a lasting impact on future generations to come. With the continued escalating costs of higher education, students appreciate scholarship support now more than ever before.
Randy was an outstanding and passionate educator and coach, husband and father. Randy taught high school math for 38 years at Valley View High School, Wayne High School, and Oakwood High School, where he continued to teach after his retirement in 2015. In addition to being a classroom teacher, Randy coached high school wrestling, football, and baseball throughout his career, and served as Athletic Director at Oakwood Junior High School. Sadly, we lost Randy in 2018. His legacy continues to live on through the lives of those he touched.
Randy truly had a gift for teaching. He not only taught math concepts but also life skills such as honor, respect, trust, conviction and love, with lots of laughter along the way. He was exceptional at inspiring others.
Family and friends of Randy Neff established a scholarship in 2018 in his honor and are seeking to endow the scholarship so that it may live on in perpetuity. We humbly ask that you please consider making a donation of any size to support this scholarship today - supporting students' continued education, while also leaving a memorial contribution to a man who left a lasting impact on the lives of so many.
The Randy Neff Memorial Scholarship Fund of the Oakwood Schools Foundation is offered annually to an Oakwood High School graduating senior planning to major in education or math, with preference given to those planning to teach math or become a coach. Current college students who graduated from Oakwood High School are also eligible to apply.
