The Reams Family Home

To anyone that is taking the time to simply read this, Thank You!

I’m reaching out to every friend and family member hoping that everyone will then share it with every friend and family member of theirs and so on!

This is The Reams Family they purchased their first home in Virginia the beginning of sept 2021. Chris is actively serving in the military and Emily is a disabled veteran. They have two beautiful girls Emma 3 yrs old and Melly 18 months old.

On July 19, 2022 Emily left for a 3 week visit to New Jersey to see family and attend some family events. When she returned home on august 9, 2022 she discovered her house was extremely humid and mold had grown on majority of her belongings throughout the entire house. According to mold specialist it’s a $10,000-$40,000 clean up. After having hvac specialist quote the entire new duct system @ around 8,000 as well as an additional pending quote to have the crawl Space encapsulated to stop the moisture, her insurance denied the claim and won’t cover any of it!!!! She has been left with no other option other then to return to New Jersey to stay with her family while her husband is deployed and her home is unsafe. She is on her second road trip back to Virginia to meet with different specialists to get the job started but funding for all this is currently a huge burden and is weighing on her every second of the day. She was left with the belongings they packed for their vacation as everything in the home is covered in mold spurs and needs to be properly cleaned. The additional moisture also caused damage to her floors as the mold is in the layers of flooring in the kitchen, some furniture will also be a total loss and who knows what else.

My hope is that if everyone I know and everyone they know and so on, may be able to give a little and that little would mean just so much to her and her family right now.
