Hayhurst's Rebeske-Schock Family's Loss

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of a Hayhurst community member and parent, Alexandra (Alex) Rebeske. Alex is survived by her daughter, Keira, and her partner, Brandon.

Brandon says of Alex, "Alex loved crafting and music and she was the kindest person... the type that would give the shirt off her back for anyone in need. She would make care packages that we would hand out to the homeless downtown. She was always so caring for anyone in need, and was the first to offer help." Alex will sorely be missed.

I hope that our Hayhurst community can help support the Rebeske-Schock family in their time of need. We are raising money to provide financial relief for Brandon and Keira as they navigate the complexities of grief. When we grieve, minuscule tasks such as attending to our own basic needs can seem unsurmountable, let alone trying to figure out how to set up arrangements, pay bills on a suddenly decreased income, and feeling secure in taking enough time off from work to grieve.

Let's see if we can take some of these pressures off of Keira and Brandon so that they can mourn the loss of an amazing women.
