Support for the ForestKids Early Learning Centre

Hi, my name is Donna. I have started an emergency fundraising campaign for the ForestKids Early Learning Centre in Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia. ForestKids is a locally-owned and family-oriented childcare facility and nature school. Owner/director Terri Kottwitz has lost both her business and her home in the wildfires that have been raging through many parts of Nova Scotia this past week. The ForestKids Early Learning Centre is an incredible place that is home to 82 children from three months of age to 12 years. ForestKids re-introduces children to the wonders of the woods and helps to bring kids closer to nature at a time when the gap between children and our natural world has never been greater. The money raised from this campaign will do directly to support ForestKids Early Learning so that they can begin to replace things lost in the fire that help them to offer their programs, such as equipment, outdoor gear, furniture, clothing and supplies. I am an educational television producer from Nova Scotia who has created content with ForestKids over the years.
