The Recio family who lost their father & husband

Hi my name is Stephanie Flores I am raising money to assist the Recio family who lost their father and husband on October 11th of 2023. With many doubts and hesitations, whether this will serve the purpose I intend, I can only pray for the most minimal good to occur from this. While some of us go our entire life trying to spread kindness and do good for the world; there are human beings such as Jorge who truly become the heroes we wish to become one day . On September 29th, 2023 Jorge and his wife were meeting family to go on a date night to go see the George Lopez comedy show. As they made a quick stop at their home to use the restroom, Jorge heard chaos a couple of houses down and without hesitation he went to help. He confronted a man who was violently attacking two young children of 3 and 5 years old and their mother. One thing led to another and my cousin’s husband Jorge was shot. He remained in the hospital and passed away on October 11th. I have to emphasize that the local articles that shared the news, didn’t mention that Jorge was never part of the attack; however, he went to go help the children and their mother. This is the kind of human being he was, so selfless and kind to give his life for someone else. One must only praise his act of heroism as it well could be the result of saving those children’s lives. While this devastating incident is the result of inhumane evil, I implore for the community to help us give the most minimal good to the Recio family as such act of heroism should not be in vain. Jorge’s family is survived by his wife Liliana Recio and their three children Monze, Emilio, and Dario. Although, I know there will never ever be anything that can come close to the healing the family deserves, I beg you to donate whatever may be possible, to help them financially continue this unimaginable and devastating situation.
