Gunkelmentary Goes Hollywood!

The "Gunkelmentary" is a full-length documentary that chronicles the history and development of the art of EEG recording and interpretation over the last 50 years. The story is told through the eyes of Jay Gunkelman, EEG Tech, and his many students and colleagues who have been instrumental in the evolution of our art and craft. From the early days when EEG was considered an "epiphenomeon," to the current state of development of applied and clinical neuroscience, Jay's intellect, insight and unflagging contributions and support for the field reveal the genius within.
We are offering incentives for donations to this important project, which will be a lasting testimony to the contemporary history of EEG. The "GunkelBobbles" which appear at the header of this GoFundMe announcement are available for a $250 donation for one GunkelBobble. This donation also includes a coveted Rhonda Osborne (Director of NeuroTextiles) Neuroscience face mask. There are many patterns ranging from raw EEG on pastel backgrounds to black and white images of neurotransmitters. We will surprise you with a secret pattern! Everyone who makes a $250 donation at this time will ALSO be invited to the first release premier screening of the film, which should be available early September, 2020.  The screening will happen LIVE at the historic Empress Theatre in Vallejo, CA (with masks and social distancing).  This may be a rare chance to see Jay in person as the release of the film will officially mark his retirement. For donors who cannot attend, the screening will be streamed live on FaceBook.
