The repatriation and funeral costs of Danny Marcu

We are saddened to share the news of the sudden passing of our dear colleague, Daniel Marcu. Known for his infectious smile, cheeky wit, and boundless positivity, he was a cherished part of our team and a friend to everyone he met. Danny brought so much joy and light to our sites, leaving a lasting impression on all of us. His untimely departure has left us in shock and deep sadness.

Just last week, Danny was going about his day, bringing his usual energy to the team, when he suddenly fell ill. Tragically, he suffered a brain aneurysm, and despite fantastic immediate medical attention, he passed away over the weekend.

Danny leaves behind a grieving family (his brother Silviu, is currently one of our supervisors, and his father worked with us for many years), who now face the overwhelming challenge of bringing him home to Romania to be laid to rest. We are reaching out to all who knew him—and to the kindness of the broader Getjar construction community—to help cover the costs of his repatriation and funeral. This is our chance to honour him, ensuring his family can focus on grieving and honouring his memory without the financial burden.
