The residents of Horseshoe Beach, FL

Horseshoe Beach, Fl is a tiny fishing village on Florida's Gulf Coast. Hurricane Idalia inundated it on August 30, 2023. Many homes and properties were completely destroyed and families (mostly 4th and 5th-generation fisherman) have been left devastated. We have a home on 5th Ave W and, although we have only been part of this amazing community for a few months, we have quickly fallen in love with the people of HSB. We are raising funds to assist as many people as possible and provide temporary housing and supplies to clean up debris and help rebuild this wonderful community. In recent years, Florida has just become unaffordable for home insurance, especially flood and many of these hard working families just can not afford it. Any amount helps and we will continue to share updates on our progress along the way. We are in the process of establishing an oversight committee made up of local residents to ensure the funds are distributed to the most needy residents of HSB.
