Hello, my name is Salah Rezeq. I'm a final-year Information Technology student at the Islamic University of Gaza, residing in Gaza City. My wife, Huda Budair, a fellow student and my companion through university, and I tied the knot just days before our lives were engulfed by war. We had recently celebrated our union, assembling our dream home piece by piece, creating a sanctuary for us as newlyweds. Despite financing everything on loans, we had not repaid a penny when the war struck, reducing our beloved home and all our dreams to rubble.

Forced to flee on foot to southern Gaza, we journeyed several kilometers under the threat of army strikes, seeking refuge. Eventually, we found ourselves in a tent, devoid of basic living necessities, far from the warmth and security of our home. My sole livelihood, working as a freelance graphic designer, was severed with the loss of electricity and the internet, alongside the destruction of my computer in the bombing of our home.

Our dreams of a happy, successful life were shattered in the first month of our marriage. No longer do we have a home, a source of income, or financial stability—only a life filled with fear and terror of losing one another.

Why We Need Your Help:

We are reaching out for assistance to preserve our lives by escaping to a safe location outside of Gaza, aspiring to rebuild the joyous married life we once dreamt of. Additionally, we seek to repay the debts incurred from setting up our home that the war has since destroyed.

We have been displaced from our home six times, narrowly escaping death on numerous occasions. Our story is one of survival amidst the chaos and devastation of war, living in constant fear, and facing the immense challenge of rebuilding our lives from scratch

مرحبا، اسمي صلاح رزق. أنا طالب في السنة النهائية لتكنولوجيا المعلومات في الجامعة الإسلامية بغزة، وأقيم في مدينة غزة. تزوجت أنا وزوجتي هدى بدير، زميلتي في الدراسة ورفيقتي في الجامعة، قبل أيام فقط من أن تجتاح الحرب حياتنا. لقد احتفلنا مؤخرًا بزواجنا، وقمنا بتجهيز منزل أحلامنا قطعة بقطعة سويا ، حتى اصبح منزل جاه للعيش لعروسين في مقتبل العمر وخلقنا ملاذًا لنا كعروسين. على الرغم من تمويل كل شيء بالقروض، إلا أننا لم نسدد فلساً واحداً عندما اندلعت الحرب، مما أدى إلى تحويل بيتنا الحبيب وكل أحلامنا إلى أنقاض.

اضطررنا للفرار سيرًا على الأقدام إلى جنوب غزة، وقطعنا عدة كيلومترات تحت تهديد ضربات الجيش بحثًا عن ملجأ. وفي نهاية المطاف، وجدنا أنفسنا في خيمة، خالية من ضروريات الحياة الأساسية، وبعيدة عن دفء وأمان منزلنا. لقد انقطع مصدر رزقي الوحيد، وهو العمل كمصمم جرافيك مستقل، مع انقطاع الكهرباء والإنترنت، إلى جانب تدمير جهاز الكمبيوتر الخاص بي أثناء قصف منزلنا.

تحطمت أحلامنا بحياة سعيدة وناجحة في الشهر الأول من زواجنا. لم يعد لدينا منزل، أو مصدر دخل، أو استقرار مالي، بل فقط حياة مليئة بالخوف والرعب من فقدان بعضنا البعض.

لماذا نحتاج لمساعدتكم:

نحن نطلب المساعدة للحفاظ على حياتنا من خلال الهروب إلى مكان آمن خارج غزة، ونطمح إلى إعادة بناء الحياة الزوجية السعيدة التي حلمنا بها ذات يوم. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، نسعى لسداد الديون التي ترتبت علينا بسبب إنشاء منزلنا الذي دمرته الحرب منذ ذلك الحين.

لقد تم تهجيرنا من منزلنا ست مرات، ونجونا من الموت بأعجوبة في مناسبات عديدة. قصتنا هي قصة البقاء على قيد الحياة وسط الفوضى والدمار الذي خلفته الحرب، والعيش في خوف دائم، ومواجهة التحدي الهائل المتمثل في إعادة بناء حياتنا من الصفر.
