The Rhoneymeade Sand Circle

Happy Valley Golden Wheel (HVGW) is a community-supported initiative formed in 2011 dedicated to celebrating Pagan holidays and culture. Back in April of 2022, Rhoneymeade Arboretum and Sculpture Garden graciously allowed HVGW to create a bonfire zone in their field area, to which we added a sand topdressing. The sand circle hosted HVGW’s first Bardic Circle event on July 1st, 2022 - to universal acclaim! The soft yellow sand provides the perfect surface for hanging out around the bonfire for drumming, dancing, storytelling, group ritual and whatever. The Bardic Circle was such a hit that we now need more space! With a bit of help, we can buy a new load of sand to widen the circle so we can accommodate more participants for this and other events.
