This is for my sweet, loving and ever giving sister in law and her beautiful family. As you read the following, imagine if it were you. One day life is good, full of laughter & then a series of events changed life as you know it forever. In 2014, Chancey & Lisa have a beautiful love & started a life together, along with Malachi her son. Chancey loves Malachi as his own, & took part in coaching in all of Malachi's sports. Life was good for this new family. About a year later, Chancey developed many health problems. He had to have several surgeries and has been mostly unable to work & none for the last year and a half. Currently he needs surgery to repair bulging discs in his neck. It causes him pain like being constantly electrocuted from his neck down to his left arm. He has severe degenerative joint/bone disease. It effects his whole body. He lives in constant generalized pain. It has been very hard on Chancey not being able to work. Lisa has worked without complaint. Periodically she's worked 2 jobs trying to keep it all afloat. In July the 19th 2018, Elysha Shiloh Rich was born into their family. This baby girl is such a blessing! Chancey now has the best job in the world, being her dad! Six months later, Lisa went for a routine mammogram. January the 18th 2019, she was told that she has Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Stage 1 A, HER-2 Positive cancer. This is an aggressive type cancer. At that point, it had only branched out in one area. March 1st, she had a lumpectomy and it had branched out in 3 more areas. It did not reach her lymph nodes. It was deemed Grade 1 which is a high grade tumor & strongly HER-2 positive. Advised treatment was aggressive chemotherapy weekly for 12 weeks, followed by Monday-Friday radiation therapy for 6 weeks, along with adjuvant chemotherapy every 3rd week for another 9 months. Mammograms every 6 months for 2 years. She also needs gallbladder surgery when her body can tolerate it.
For now, she's out of work for 3 months. She will get 60% of her pay, but the majority of that has to pay for their health insurance & benefits. What remains will not be enough for car payments, car insurance, utilities, food, transportation to treatments, prescriptions, & the 2 inch thick stack of medical bills that keep growing. Chancey & Lisa have always helped people in need, they've done it quitely to not embarrass anyone having a hard time. When 2020 comes she starts paying all over again to reach their deductibles for the continued treatments. It's very expensive. Lisa deserves to have financial peace during this fight for her life. She needs rest. Stress can impair that healing and if you are able to help in any way, words cannot express how much it will mean. No matter your social status, It could be any of us one day in the same situation asking for help. When you give, our family prays it is returned to you ten fold. Whether you give or not, please pray for this beautiful family.
