Chimney Rock Hurricane Disaster Relief
Donation protected
Chimney Rock has been a special place for my family for many years. When my late wife Shelly and I purchased The River house in April of 2017, our goal was to provide a loving and comfortable space for friends and family to gather. The previous owners had recently completed an extensive renovation in 2012, so the property was in great shape. With the help of my children and my new wife, the next 7 years were filled with more improvements, upgrades, family get-togethers, and memories. As a premier Airbnb property, people from all over the country were able to experience the rustic charm of the River house. That all changed on September 27th when hurricane Helene washed the entire property away. Although the dust, literally, has not settled in Chimney Rock or at the location where the River house used to stand, it is clear that this community of amazing people will not rest until this village is restored.
