Help Oslo navigate through vision loss.

This is Oslo. Oslo was picked up as a stray in Los Angeles, and scheduled for euthanasia; the staff considered him unadoptable because he was too afraid to let anyone pick him up, or even touch him, and, he's completely blind.

A rescue in Central California took him in, but they also considered him to be unadoptable due to his very high FAS score (fear, anxiety, stress). He began to decline at the rescue, and on Christmas was attacked by another dog, leaving him with a puncture wound on his head and ear.

On Dec 28th I brought him home.

He is absolutely thriving in the quieter environment. I've taken him to the groomer, and to the vet, and his bloodwork shows that despite everything, he is in excellent health. What he needs now is dental surgery. Typically a blind dog can get around just fine by sense of smell, but his dental state is interfering with that, and it's also clear that his mouth is causing him pain.

On Wednesday he's having dental surgery; he's going to feel so much better, not only within his mouth, but it will dramatically reduce the number of head bonks from trying to get around, and he's been through so much already being abandoned in Los Angeles. I can't even imagine how scary it was for him to be completely blind and alone in that environment.

You can see how far he's come already; he loves to sit on the porch and listen to the birds.
