The road to recovery for Olivia and family

Yesterday, 12/31/21, New Years Eve, was going great and started out as a normal day. Constantine left for work and I was home taking care of the babies.
Everything was going great until about 4:30. I foolishly tried stepping OVER the baby gate in effort to not wake up the kids who were sleeping on the couch. By doing so, my foot got caught on the gate and I, dead weight, fell & impaled myself on the pole sticking up from our coffee rack (picture will be included at the end). I could’ve sworn I had just broken a rib. The pain I felt was something like I’ve never felt before.
My mom, who lives around the corner from me, immediately rushed over and Constantine, who luckily works less than a half mile away from home, did the same. My mom took me to the ER at Reading Hospital and Constantine stayed home with the babies.
After arriving at the hospital and undergoing 1 X-ray, 2 CT scans, and multiple loads of blood work, I found out that I, in fact, did not break a rib. Much worse, that I have a laceration on my liver, approximately 3 cm in size. I was admitted later last night to the IMU to undergo close observation. Luckily, the trauma team doesn’t see a need to operate. I am hoping to be discharged either today or tomorrow.
With all of this being said, I also got the news from my doctors and nurses that I absolutely cannot return to normal activities for quite some time, such as being super active with the kids, or even picking up the kids (which is hard because they’re only 2 years old + 9 months old). As most of you know, I’m a medical massage therapy student and will most likely not be able perform or practice massage until I heal. Which is super heartbreaking for me, since I have such a strong passion for it.
Constantine is going to be taking time off of work in order to ensure that I’m able to heal, because if I don’t take the right measures in this process, it could get worse. Constantine is our only source of income for our family right now due to me being a full time student and still having to juggle the kids + home life. With the time off he will need to take to help me, it’s, without a doubt, going to hurt us financially.
Thank you for taking the time to read through this. I’m asking each and every one of you, if you are able to please help us in this very unprecedented time, we would be so so grateful. If you are unable to assist, every prayer, or thought is also much.

UPDATE:
Got switched from no food or drink to a liquid, clear diet. I am being kept overnight again. The trauma doctor came in earlier and suggested that I be on strict bed rest for 2 weeks after I am discharged.
I want nothing more than to bust out of this place and let my sweet babies know that I’m okay. It’s breaking my heart so so much.
Praying HARD I’m discharged tomorrow so I can get home and kiss those little lips and be there with them and Constantine.
