The Rodney King Holiday Fundraiser

According to The New York Times , this upcoming holiday season is slated to be the most expensive on record! Food prices have risen significantly, making it even more difficult for struggling, marginalized families to access the basic food they need.

 

Lora King (Rodney King's daughter) remembers what it was like to grow-up in an environment of food insecurity. For more than 5 years, Lora King and her family have quietly provided meals to families in need.

 

This year marks the 30th Anniversary of her father Rodney King being beaten by The LAPD. To honor her father's legacy, Lora King is launching "The Rodney King Holiday Fundraiser". Through a partnership with The Human Gathering , Lora King and The Rodney King Foundation are raising funds to provide meals to families who desperately need them. And we would love your help!

 

Thanks to our generous partners, your donation of $25 will feed one family, providing them with the food they need to celebrate this holiday season! This being the inaugural year of "The Rodney King Holiday Fundraiser", we have set a modest goal to feed 1,000 families.
