Wolfville Legion New Elevator Purchase

A CANADIAN LEGION BRANCH IN NOVA SCOTIA IS REVOLUTIONISING THEIR APPROACH TOWARD THE HELP AND SUPPORT THEY OFFER TO VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES.

However they need your help!! They are in the process of purchasing an elevator and have raised about half the cost and require another $90,000.00 . Even a modest donation can go a long way to them achieving their goal. They are determined to be a role model for 21st century Legions at the Branch Level, offering not just social support but workshops, creative programs and counselling, with full use of Information Technology. To make their century-old building fit for purpose they have initiated a $2 million renovation, ensuring total wheelchair accessibility, hearing impairment technology and much more.

Federal, provincial and municipal governments have provided modest but helpful grants, noting the huge significance of this important initiative for Canada's Veterans who put their lives at risk on our behalf. Scores of businesses and organizations have joined a growing army of helpers to make this dream happen: architects, engineers, building material suppliers and others throughout the Maritimes have given their expertise and assets to the cause.

Because of COVID, costs have soared, and the project is at risk.
