The Rogers with monthly payment and medical bills
Donation protected
Hey, my name is Kobi. I'm the son of Jason and Robyn Rogers.
Last night (July 11th, 2023), my Dad went down on his bike coming home from work. He ended up crashing and was life-flighted to Harborview Medical Center. A group of riders behind him saw the crash and luckily one of them was a medic, and was able to render basic medical care until the helicopter arrived. He was unconscious and unresponsive to commands and had shallow breathing.
Currently (July 12th, 2023), he is in the intensive care unit at the hospital. He's on a ventilator and is still unconscious and unresponsive to external stimuli. He has some broken bones and some bleeding as well, it sounds like. We are expecting a long stay and even longer recovery.
Dad is the most amazing person I know. He is a loving father of my two brothers and me and has been married to my Mom for 26 years now. He's a navy veteran and rides regularly with CVMA (Combat Vets Motorcycle Association.) He is caring, compassionate, selfless, and an all-around unbelievable individual. Everything he does, he does for other people. He's done so much and seen so many sides of life. He is always willing to help others and always there when someone needs him, no matter how late or how early. I've always looked up to him and hoped I can fill his shoes when it comes to that, so I guess now's my chance to try.
To help ease the burden on my Mom, since they will both be out of working for a while, I figured asking for help would be useful. She is worried about paying the mortgage on the house and the utilities. We hope insurance can cover a lot of the medical bills but only time can tell on that. For now peace of mind would come from knowing that we can cover the basics and not fall behind.
If there's anything you can donate, we would be eternally grateful.
