The Desmond Romero Fund

Greetings Family, Friends, Colleagues and Generous Givers,

This GoFund Me is being setup for Desmond Romero by his family and friends.

Desmond Carlos Romero was born on September 14, 1953, in Kingston, Jamaica. After years of working for The Bank of Nova Scotia, he is now retired. He is the father of Rochelle Romero, a grandfather to Victoria, a brother, uncle, and friend to many.

If you know Desmond, you know that he has a big heart. He is a very giving person and would give his last to others. He always has a smile on his face, enjoys life and loves taking care of others. He has never asked anything for himself. He is one of the most selfless person you will ever meet.

After years of gainful employment, proper health insurance coverage, and now retirement on a fixed income, Desmond was recently diagnosed with stage-3 Lung Cancer, with the worst stage being stage-4.

Before his cancer diagnosis, Desmond looked forward to his fun filled friendly dominoes games with his friends and the comradery of team members apart of these games.

Due to his recent lung cancer diagnosis all planning for his retirement has been turned upside down. He is currently unable to meet the financial demands for chemo and radiation therapies which will be followed by surgery. He needs $23,640.00 to cover the cost of his medical bills.
