The Ronald McDonald House - The Merchant Family

Please consider donating to the Ronald McDonald House of NY in honor of Mark and Ashley Merchant, and their expected son Finnley.

Mark, Ashley, and their 19 month old son Emmett have been lucky enough to stay at the Ronald McDonald House of NYC since February 12, where they have been given housing, meals, transportation, and activities. Ashley is expected to undergo a complicated surgery in order to deliver Finnley on February 26. The Merchant family hopes to return to the Ronald McDonald house throughout the duration of Finnley's lengthy NICU stay. Finnley has a rare birth defect called Macrocycstic Lymphatic Malformation, in which he will require a multidisciplinary team of doctors, specialists, and surgeons in order to survive the delivery and maximize his quality of life. The medical team at Weill Cornell has been amazing with treating Ashley and Finnley so far and the Merchant family is expecting nothing but continued success, despite the frightening diagnosis.

The Ronald McDonald House requires nothing of families who receive these services. They ask for a small donation of $35 per day per family, whenever that is possible. The Merchant family is hoping to raise enough money to cover their extended stay and maybe even contribute towards another family's stay at the house. This donation will go directly to the Ronald McDonald House of NYC, that is caring so lovingly for the Merchant family.
