SACDO Ramadan Donations 2023

SACDO, was established in 2005 as a non profit organization to serve the American Sudo population in Ohio. The mission of SACDO is to establish a strong community that integrates well into the broader Ohio array of cultures and represents a useful addition of citizens to the cities of Ohio. Additionally, its mission is to create conditions that support and promote educational, healthy, recreational and social services for individuals of Sudo heritage in Ohio.

With the increased violence and lack of safety in many regions in Sudo, more significant numbers of Sudo people are arriving in Ohio as refugees. There is usually a transitional period between the arrival time of these families and the completion of paperwork and processes that help refugees integrate into a new culture. Note that all arrive legally and have applications under process.

We are seeking to raise an amount of $20,000 to help these families during their transition. There are currently around ten families in immediate need to improve their poor living conditions. The average family size is six. To enhance their integration into new communities, collected funds will go towards heat/ ac bills, child care, child activities, clothing, furniture, transport, and other activities.
