the Sacramento Crisis Nursey
Donation protected
Last week, while out for my morning walk, I noticed a woman and her 3 children (none of who looked as though they could have been older than4) looking quite disheveled and rushed, getting out of a car and heading into South Land Park The Sacramento Crisis Nursery. I see this often since they are my neighbors. However it was the time that struck my heartstrings. You see, I take these walks at 440am. Watching those sleepy, upset babies, with insufficient PJs on (one was only in a diaper), get dragged into a strange place, and mom having to leave them just broke me.
On my 40th birthday (Monday, 5/23) and in honor of Brett’s birthday (which is TODAY 5/16) I want to walk in, and MAKE IT RAIN with diapers, underwear & PJs at https://www.kidshome.org/what-we-do/crisis-nursery-program/ .I’ve spoken with a few staff members in the past, and those are some of their biggest needs, as kids often come in without them, and when the facilities have extra to give the struggling parents, they do. All donations & purchases will be split between the two locations (South sac and north sac)
