The Sangare Family Donations

As you may have heard on the news, an unexpected tragedy took place on Tuesday, January 31st in Newark, New Jersey which claimed the life of our dear sister Fanta at only 4 years old. Our father Ousmane Sangare was walking home with Fanta in his right hand and our other sister Ramata (1 year old) in his left arm. They waited at the cross walk until they had the right of way and proceeded to cross the street once it was clear. As they were crossing the road, a truck ran the stop sign, striking all three before fleeing the scene. Fanta was fatally impacted by the truck coming from their right side where our father was holding her hand. Ousmane suffered multiple broken bones from the impact and Ramata sustained several injuries to her face and arm as well.

As Fanta’s older siblings, we have organized this fundraiser to support our family in this great time of need as we mourn the loss of our beloved Fanta. Like most four year old girls, she was happy and caring and loved birthday parties, dancing, and the color pink.

Additionally, our father, who is the sole financial provider of our family, is unable to work and has no time table of when he will be available to return due to his decreased mobility and serious injuries. Your donations will not only contribute to the cost of this unexpected funeral but will also help us cover medical expenses, rent, food, transportation, and many more essential items necessary for our everyday lives. Whatever you can give would be greatly appreciated and will help us tremendously as we try our hardest to heal.
