Shay has always been the person you go to for whatever you’re needing. If it’s to help with a certain task, a problem you’re trying to solve, a laugh when you feel like crying, and a hug when you need it the most. Shay has always been the man that makes everything seem better, even if it’s just for a little while. He never turned anyone away that needed him.
Shay married the love of his life and best friend, Sadie, in 2015 and they have 3 beautiful children. Marley (6), Kennedy (4), and Lyric (2). Shay is the center of his children’s universe. He has always been the most attentive father to them, staying up all night when Marley can’t sleep, helping Kennedy when she gets upset, and showing Lyric how to be the best little brother.
The world lost an amazing man on April 4, 2020. Our family lost a son, uncle, brother, nephew, grandson and cousin. His family lost a father and husband. I lost not only a cousin, but my friend.
Shay had been suffering with health issues for many years, particularly increasing in the last 3 years. He had been unable to walk or stand without excruciating pain due to swelling in his legs, feet, and ankles. Unable to eat without pain and vomiting, and numerous sleepless nights just to name a few of his health challenges. And most recently he had been having multiple seizures during his daily life. Due to his health issues Shay hadn’t been able to work for the last 2 years, so Sadie had been working to try support their beautiful family.
With the loss of Shay, Sadie has so much on her shoulders right now with the care of 3 children. Unable to work right now due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Sadie is raising the kids, grieving the unexpected loss of her husband and best friend. The mountains of medical bills, funeral expenses, rent, cost of living are all impossible expenses for her on her own. We are asking for your help to support and carry some of the burden for Sadie, Marley, Kennedy, and Lyric. If ever there was a family in the greatest need and most deserving of help, it would be this one.
We appreciate the kindness, and willingness to help Sadie, Marley, Kennedy, and Lyric at this time of their greatest need.
