The Schneider family who lost their home in the LA wildfires
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Bailey and my best friend Julia and her family just lost their home and all their belongings in the devastating LA wildfires (Altadena). After evacuating their home on Tuesday night in a frantic and unprepared panic due to windstorms that caused the wildfire to spread relentlessly at an unprecedented rate, Julia reluctantly got on a flight overnight to Panama, where we were headed to celebrate one of our best friend’s weddings. She took one small carry on, while her parents (who stayed in LA) only had time to take a few items before running out the door. They expected to return to their home at some point, but tragically, when she landed in Panama she was informed that their home had burned down within the span of the flight. Their neighbour from across the street sent them a video of the home they had left only a few hours prior, burned down to complete ashes.
We are in shock and devastated. Julia, Marina and Alex Schneider, along with everyone else affected by these fires in LA, will be spending the rest of the year that just began trying to recover and rebuild their life. They have only the few items they brought with them upon quickly evacuating - all sentimental items, memorabilia, and valuables left behind.
Please consider donating and helping this family overcome this tragedy as they gather themselves and begin to rebuild their lives. Funds raised will go towards what the family needs during this difficult time. Any help is appreciated, thank you so much for reading and donating what you can.
Sending love and prayers to all those affected by this disaster.
