The Scott Holm Portrait of a Graduate Award
Donation protected
Scott Holm was a much beloved math and science teacher at Cloverdale High School for over thirty years. An extremely dedicated professional, Scott was relentless in making sure all of his students reached their potential. A tireless worker and decades ahead of his time, Scott believed in educating the whole student, focusing on skills that are now seen as essential in our student's education: curiosity, empathy, communication, collaboration, ethics and initiative. He, himself exhibited all of these characteristics every single day. No one worked harder than Scott, and his legacy lives on in the students he educated.
Scott passed away in 2022. In 2023, Joe Dobbins, his colleague and Bonnie Holm started this fund to honor Scott and his powerful legacy. The Teachers Association of Cloverdale High School will administer the funds which are intended to be used for higher education or training. We plan to make an annual award to a graduating senior from Cloverdale High School each year. The recipient will be a student who has significantly demonstrated curiosity, empathy, communication, collaboration, ethics and initiative throughout their high school career. The leadership committee will make the selection and the award will be given at awards night.
Last year Seth Daunch received the first award. As it turned out, his dad had also been a student of "Mr. Holm." The award went to helping with Seth's studies at Cal Poly Pomona.
We hope that you'll consider donating to this fund as a way to remember Scott Holm's legacy and help a worthy student in their post high school endeavors.
