The Siedlik Family

Hello, my name is Kathy Mowat Scholl and I am reaching out on behalf of my nephew, Andrew Siedlik, the youngest child of my sister Kelly and her husband Kyle.

Andrew is critically ill and currently being treated at Children’s Hospital ICU unit. Six days ago he was admitted to Children’s Hospital with a bacterial infection in the space below his jaw. He was placed in the pediatric ICU and given a broad spectrum of powerful antibiotics, but unfortunately, his condition worsened.

On Saturday he went into sepsis and his organs began to fail. He was placed on an ECMO life support machine to pump oxygen directly into the blood circulating through his heart.

After 2 days of life support, he has improved but he has a long road ahead in his fight to survive.

We hope and pray that Andrew will recover from this catastrophic illness. The goal of this fundraiser is to ease the family’s burden by raising money to help pay the medical bills not covered by the family's health insurance.

The Siedliks and our extended family are eternally grateful for the outpouring of love that has been shown by the community during this incredibly difficult time. We are deeply touched by the genuine compassion of so many good souls.
