The Simbe ‘Ohana GoFundMe

August 8, 2023 is a day that changed many forever. A wildfire came and claimed the homes of many families including my aunt and uncles house in Lāhaina.

My aunt, Emelyn, uncle Erickson & their son, Sherman and his wife and two children, Gigi, Ceos (5) and Angelo (2), were able to evacuate to safety with only the clothes on their backs. Unfortunately, their house and everything they owned was lost to the fire. Hearing my aunt repeat over that they have no home to return to breaks my heart for them as well as the many families in going through this tragic time.

Aloha, my name is Jamie Naho’oikaika and we set up this GoFundMe in hopes to help them rebuild their life for the months to come because figuring out the next move is unknown at the moment. All proceeds will go directly towards my Aunt, Uncle and their ‘ohana.

I know there are many families in Lāhaina in need, so I’m hoping they can also be apart of any donations to be given.
