The Slack Family

Jon and Melissa Slack are absolutely amazing people! And their family needs our help. Jon is currently in the hospital rehabilitating from  a spinal abscess that resulted in sepsis and paralysis. Jon has no feeling nor movement from the chest down. His neurologist is unaware of the extent of the damage and says the “waiting game” to When or if he will recover could be 6-18 months.
Melissa is battling multiple myelom cancer and is currently receiving treatment for this awful disease, which is treatable but not currently curable. Unfortunately, this is not her first battle with cancer but she is continuing to fight like the amazing woman she is. 
They both have an extremely long roads in front of them.
To add on to taking care of themselves during this incrediblly difficult season, Jon and Melissa have 2 amazing Autistic children they are raising AND they own, manage, and both work full time at the local Rocky Rococos. 
Jon needs some very expensive medical equipment that is not covered by insurance and he will need it to be able to return home. At this point it is unknown when he will be able to leave the hospital.
Melissa is undergoing treatment for cancer through MAYO which requires time off work, long drives for check ups, daily blood draws and a huge financial commitment. 
This family is so amazing and has impacted so many people in this community. They remain positive and prayerful despite everything they are enduring right now.
