The Solution: Mental Health Assistants
Donation protected
We as inmate mental health assistants have witnessed incarcerated men who battle severe mental illness, decomposed and never make it out of the jail setting to live a normal life. Instead, too many are turned to conservatorship or even worse state hospitals in hopes they get better, we as inmates mental health assistants chose to do something about this . We have formed an inmate position which holds the potential to transform the way treatment is distributed in the LA county jail. We wrote a book all about it in hopes that more people will rise either to join hands or merely take up our strategies and apply them where help is directly needed. We understand that the more the staff and custody becomes aware the more we as mental health assistants can be recognized and effective, unfortunately we are inmates in LA county jail where we do not earn our job wage and so we are seeking to raise $2,500 to purchase 100 copies of, “The Solution: Mental Health Assistants” books for giveaways. The complimentary goal is to raise awareness on the value of the mental health assistants (MHA) and all in all to create proper treatment for severely mental ill men where incarcerated in La county jail.
