The Sova Family Fund - Covid 19

We have all thought sometime in our life, that would never happen to me.  Unfortunately for the Sova family it has, Covid 19.  Jim & Robyn will be married for 28 years this fall.  They have two kids, Nathan who will be turning 13 in July and Bella who is 9.  Jim fell ill back on April 6.  Spent the first week at home, before his symptoms got worse and 911 was called.  He entered the hospital on April 14.  On April 15, he had to be intubated, but before he was he was able to video call with Robyn and the kids.  Jim said he didn't feel good about it and he told the kids he loved them.  He was only intubated for one week. During the time he was off the ventilator, it seemed like he was on his way to recovery.  Also during this time, Robyn fell ill with the virus and was hospitalized also.  Luckily family members made sure the kids were taken care of and Robyn only had to be in for just 3 days.  Robyn and the kids had a video call with Jim on April 25th and everything seemed to be going well, but on the morning of April 28th she got a phone call that Jim had gotten worse and would need to be intubated again.  She spoke to him and he just wanted to make sure that the kids knew how much he loved them. During the second intubation, Jim was transferred to another hospital to try a different procedure, ECMO.  Unfortunately he was not a candidate, because his kidneys started to fail and was put on dialysis.  Robyn was informed a few times that Jim had very little chance at surviving, but they didn't realize Jim is a fighter and all the prayers from family and friends. On June 7, he was taken off the ventilator and is doing well.  He still has a long road a head of him.  We decided to do this fundraiser for them because they would never ask for anything from anyone.  We don't know what the future will be for them financially, but every little bit helps.
