The Storey's are Adopting!!

We are so excited to announce that we are adopting a baby BOY in August!! We were matched with a great birthmother very recently and we feel totally overjoyed (and a bit overwhelmed!). In 2013, our son was born prematurely in a very traumatic manner. Alison suffered from a umbilical cord prolapse and placental abruption. After delivery, Alison was taken to the ICU for blood transfusions and oxygen therapy and our son was resuscitated for a long period of time. Wyatt was taken to a higher level care NICU where he underwent therapies to preserve brain function. God willing, both Alison and Wyatt are here today and feeling well. Alison was advised to never carry another pregnancy since she suffered heart damage from the complications of birth. 
We always knew we wanted to expand our family, but our options had been limited. We explored surrogacy and ultimately decided ADOPTION was what God wanted for our sweet family. We love every minute of our son's life, and we can't wait to know the joy our new baby will bring us. 
Adoption unfortunately, comes with many expenses. The cost of domestic infant adoption in the US averages around $40,000. And so, to make this journey possible, we are asking for donations to help fund bringing our sweet, new baby home in August. Our match with our birthmother came quick and unexpectedly, but we know that this is the plan God has chosen for us. Thank you for supporting our family!
