Hi, it's Coleen! Do you remember that one time when you needed help and all your friends rallied to help? Well sometimes that's not the case.
We need to rally for Victor, Foggy and Mo. Five years ago, almost to the day, December 1st, 2018, the unthinkable happened; a house fire! It was the first of many hurdles. They had just bought the house and insurance was in the works. Everything was gone. The fire took Sid the iguana and two Taegu lizards. Heartbroken, they started to rebuild out of their own pockets. City ordinances and red tape caused delays resulting in fines. They sold the unfinished house at a loss. Settling into a new house they knew the worst was behind them.
Until Victors old hip injuries flared, arthritis. Employment is now a challenge, Disability? Denied twice and a third court date in mid-December. Tack on lawyers' fees.
With limited mobility Victor started a YouTube channel. Taking his passion for model building to a new level.
Check out his channel here: https://www.youtube.com/@FunctionalHistories
And, his Amazon Wishlist here
And here comes Foggy with Thyroid Cancer! The doctors said, “If you're going to get cancer this is the best one.” Well okay, is it going to help pay the bills? Thankfully she has been cancer free for one year, but still has medical needs.
Victor sold his van to cover bills. Down to one mode of transportation and the car needs a wheel bearing. It’s not the end of the world but an extra $400 expense is not in the budget.
UPDATE!! HUGE shout out to Busted Radial Garage for getting the wheel bearing donated!! Not only did he get the wheel bearing donated, he got TWO wheel bearings and a new set of brake pads donated!! YOU ROCK CHRIS! Thank you!
We also found a mechanic 35 miles away willing to donate his time. More info on that shortly.
I haven’t mentioned Mo. Mo is Victors 11yr old daughter. He has joint custody. He gets Mo every other weekend. IF, he has money for extra food, gas money to drive to Kentucky to pick her up and a vehicle that doesn’t have safety issues.

"I'll make this the last addendum, I promise. I keep reading through your request list and finding more info that you wanted, now that I'm fully awake. I have no idea how I'd pay for a surgery, given that I can't afford insurance. If I can obtain my disability, I've been told that it's just that much easier to get Medicaid, but I don't know if they'll cover it. It's pricey. I've gotten a range of between $8-12,000. A downtime of no less than 6 months. It's going to be rough. Mo is artistic. Drawing pads, clay, anything having to do with a 3d printer... And she's INTELLIGENT. I highlighted 'intelligent' there, because (as my grandmother would say), she's not very smart. Lol. Don't take that the wrong way, please. She's only 11, so smarts will come. She's funny, more than anything...literally wants to be a comedian. I asked her why and she said that there's enough 'mean' and 'sad' in the world. She wants to go to the opposite end of that spectrum and make some people happy. I love that little shit. She makes me so happy. My life is better with her in it, and I can only hope that I'm returning the favor. She's tall and thick. I can't give you an exact size, but she's 5'3" and weighs 140lbs. She likes 'light' clothes in the summer and HEAVY clothes in the winter. Like... to the extreme. The uglier and heavier the winter sweater for her, the better. She's kind of a character of extremes, but that's definitely part of her charm. :), The last I knew, she was wearing a size 5 in women's (shoes). She has CATASTROPHICALLY thick and extremely curly hair. It is a nightmare to keep up with, sometimes. She doesn't have a favorite color, but a lot of the stuff she has seems to wind up being purple (my favorite color). I hope I'm not imprinting that on her. I like her to have her OWN interests and structures. She was born on February 21st. I have no idea what that 'sign' is. Foggy would be thrilled to have a little relief from our bills. Right now, what's on her mind is Christmas. Getting presents for the other older two kids (and myself) isn't necessarily EASY, but we all understand the situation. We all understand the troubles that we have. Mo really doesn't, yet. She told me that she wants a pet at our house. I'd love to accommodate her, but I can't get up and down the stairs to her bedroom to take care of it when she's not here, so I don't know how that'd work. I guess that kind of covers everything. I'm sorry that this is so verbose and long-winded, but..."
